Generously supported by the Britten Pears Arts foundation, they’re exploring the quality of movement in opera through the lens of sport and gymnastics, whilst focussing on this amazing hero-journey of Olympic Gold medalist who scored a coveted perfect 10 on the age of 14, and later had to cross the borders of her countries by foot to find exile in the USA.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the dates of their first residency and presentation have been moved to a date yet to be announced, but keep your eyes peeled on this compelling new work that aims to challenges the boundaries of opera.
