After almost 7 years Annemiek returned to her home country The Netherlands to work at the Dutch National Opera & Ballet. As assistant director she worked on the revival of Andreas Homoki’s stunning interpretation of Verdi’s Nabucco, under the baton of conductor Maurizio Benini. Half-way through the rehearsal period she also took on half of the ‘avond regie’ (show watch) and stayed in Amsterdam until mid February to lead the show on performance days.
